Have you ever found yourself trying to describe your brand, product, or service and the only word that keeps coming to mind is ‘unique’?
It’s a word that’s used almost haphazardly at times, so it doesn’t always carry as much weight or specialization as we might like it to.
Case in point:
We create unique jewelry for the authentic woman.
Hmm…that’s not really saying much, now is it?
When you’re a copywriter, you spend your life finding words to replace weak adjectives and verbs, so that’s exactly what I’ve done for you here.
Before you create your next tagline, elevator pitch, product description, caption, or blog post, try using one of these 34 alternatives to stand out and avoid feeling not-so-unique.
To use our example from earlier, we could try swapping {*arguably*} lazy words like ‘unique’ and ‘authentic’ to say:
We create distinct jewelry designs for the unmatched woman.
Oooh. Tell me more. Right?
Coming up with a great one-liner is often as easy as a trip to thesaurus.com or relatedwords.org.
Just make sure it rolls off the tongue nice and easy. You don’t want to cringe when you say it out loud! No need to get too fancy. Clarity always wins!
Did any of these stand out to you? Show us how you’re using it in the comments below!
